Getting comfortable

Melissa is feeling much better today. Thank you for your prayers.

Connor really seems comfortable with his new life now. He is finding all of the drawers in the room and loves hiding things in them.

When we go outside, his is very quiet as he takes it all in. In our room or in the play room, he is very animated.

We love taking walks around the island, here. The people are so friendly and they smile at Connor. At the park, people sing, exercise, and dance.

The rest of our travel group arrived, yesterday. We saw most of them this morning. It seems like all of the kids are doing well. We also met several other nice families, including a family that lives in Logansport and knows our friends, the Canadys. (Their kids go to the school where Jeff is the principal.)

Connor keeps good track of his mom. You can see him waiting for her to finish up.

Yea, Melissa is better. I've been checking all day waiting for that news.
It is so much fun to read about Connor and how well he is adjusting to his new family. He is so handsome.

Happy Mother's Day, Julie.
Love from us both

So do they still play a lot of that hackey sack-like game with that thing with the feathers stuck in it? When we were on the island there were always groups playing it in the park. It was fun to watch them play - I bet Melissa and Michael would be great at it.

What kinds of things does Connor hide? We think he's going to try to hide that shoe! We're glad Melissa is feeling better.
